This is not chrome plated stainless steel - why do you need chrome plated stainless steel? Electroplating is used in production. The material I used for the collar's copper alloy is poorly chromed. Exactly as described. This will make the dog pull less, but if you leave the rubber ends, they'll still pull. However, the tension is much lower than anything I've tried. I can't bring myself to remove the rubber tips, maybe that will solve the problem. This product is a loop with a strap that acts as a 'corrector' for your dog's behavior. It doesn't snap or close, just slides over your head. This is pretty unreliable for my small dog because the collar just slips/tilts while walking. What makes this product bad is that the rubber covers on the spikes leave a rough black ring on my dog's neck. A bath is required after each use. In my opinion there are much better products on the market.
