I will not buy this collar.

This is not chrome plated stainless steel - why do you need chrome plated stainless steel? Electroplating is used in production. The material I used for the collar's copper alloy is poorly chromed. The ends of the collar links are too soft. The chrome plating partially wore off within two months, leaving a wide dark ring on the dog's neck with each use. The collar was used twice daily for a total of two hours.

Lifeguard in training

Damn amazing. My boyfriend will choke on a leash with no teeth and he doesn't give a shit. This really gets his attention, the prongs aren't too big, after figuring out how to turn it on and off properly it seems easy to use now. I use it every time. That's very important for my training with him and at 30 kilos that's ideal. I do not use additional links.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast

  • There are other interesting options.

The chain broke when my labrador saw the squirrel

Too bad: when my labrador saw the squirrel, he wanted to chase it, but then the chain broke. At first I thought I might have closed it badly, but that wasn't the problem. The chain broke by itself. Don't buy if you need to trust your hardware. I was lucky the squirrel didn't cross the road or I would have lost my dog under the car! My advice: look for better brands, not this one.

Just what we needed

My friend died and his mother adopted a dog a year later for obvious reasons related to loneliness. She called me in tears because she thought she had to return the dog because he wasn't walking well and he was pretty obnoxious and she's not that nimble to handle it anymore. I looked it up, sent it to her, and it's just a trick. She is so thrilled with how well he is doing and has regained her trust in the dog. Perfection!

Basically it works: Clamp sleeves

Exactly as described. This will make the dog pull less, but if you leave the rubber ends, they'll still pull. However, the tension is much lower than anything I've tried. I can't bring myself to remove the rubber tips, maybe that will solve the problem. I'm just glad he doesn't usually pull so hard that he coughs like he does with a harness, regular collar, and choke collar. Mine is still a puppy so I'm hoping he stops pulling as a neutered adult.

I think it works in gusset collars

This product is a loop with a strap that acts as a 'corrector' for your dog's behavior. It doesn't snap or close, just slides over your head. This is pretty unreliable for my small dog because the collar just slips/tilts while walking. What makes this product bad is that the rubber covers on the spikes leave a rough black ring on my dog's neck. A bath is required after each use. In my opinion there are much better products on the market.

Not easy to put on and take off

This collar does not have a clip to make it easy to put on and take off. I tried replacing my other spiked collar, which is easy to put on and take off, with a clip but no rubber ends. When I contacted the seller to return this, they 'wouldn't give' me a refund as I was disappointed with the products received. (I bought 2 for my two dogs). You have to squeeze the pins very hard to put on and take off the collar every time you put it on or take it off, making it looser and more unsafe when the…

Instant results. best in collars, harnesses and leashes

I have a 4 month old labrador who used to pull constantly while walking. She ate everything she could get her hands on on the ground and tried to jump on people walking next to us in the park. She's cute enough to get away with for now. She is a really cute puppy. This tugging was tiring and I worried that she might jump on someone if I wasn't careful to pull her back. A Google search, a few YouTube videos, and a spiked collar seemed to be the answer. Further research and I would just buy one…

Instant relief from collars

70 lbs Pit - major tension issues. You need it. Our pit bull, while very handsome, was an absolute nut on a leash/harness/whatever. It will tug on any bush, dog, tree, switch box, squirrel, bird or falling leaf. He even drove into the room and started scratching our hardwood. He pulled so tight that when he discovered the internet, my hand turned into a swamp. My wife was afraid to walk with him and our daughter couldn't walk with him at all. We figured we would need special training sessions…
