They work very well.

I gave five stars because they are gold plated and connect well. However, if you are mounting one of these to a wire, you will need to solder the pivot point, which is on top of the plastic insulator. Otherwise, it spins and makes an intermittent connection. It is gold plated so solder is readily accepted. It is no problem for me. I don't know why they made that joint, it was a design flaw.

Breakage and bad contact

. I bought these at the end of 2019 - they were very easy to install. But a few years later I'm looking for higher quality. The little flex pins break - 9 out of 10 when I just changed the struts. Also, the connection isn't very good initially. The connectors rotate freely within these pins even before the pins break. So it's wavy at best, and that's probably why I've noticed some channels drop off from time to time.

If you put some bank time into it, it could be good value.

Take everything apart, clamp in a vise with the speaker wire hole facing you, drill with a sharp 5/32 drill bit and stop once you drill through the cavity. Drill the plastic cover (while removing it) one size larger where the lag screw will go. Now put the plastic cover back on. Advance the screw and then insert the speaker wire into the now improved hole. Strip enough wire and you should now be able to see it in this sight hole. You can now feed 3/8" of wire and it should hold up much better…
