It will be very difficult for a child to open the battery compartment. The clasp on one of the bracelets was broken. This was supposed to be a Christmas present for a 7 year old nephew but I returned this set and bought another one which I hope he does better with.

Sounds decent. The durability is not enough, we opened it, and a clip on the belt broke immediately, the straps also broke. A compass strap that came with the kit did not come off. I wouldn't buy them again and am disappointed with how much I spent for them to go bad once opened.

They are pretty to look at and my grandkids love to use them until they break. The insurance expired the next day. Bought a set, it broke. So I bought another set and it broke too. The buttons are also easy to remove. If you buy these all I can say is do not buy them for a child.

My boys used them for about 2 weeks then found them again a year later to play with and they just didn't work. We changed the batteries and everything seems to be working, but they no longer send or receive a signal. A big bummer considering they've hardly been used.

According to the description it is 4-8 years old, 3+ is on the packaging! Why can't the description tell what actually says on the box? They're pretty flimsy plastic, and the strap you get is just a piece of tape with a little plastic clip for the walkie-talkie itself.

This is a pair of really cute camouflage walkie talkies, they are small and light weight which is good for little hands. There is a LED flashlight in the top corner, fun for kids to play with in the dark. Also includes two wristbands and uses 3 AAA batteries for each walkie talkie. My daughter and son play with it every day. If I need my kids to do something, I can just talk to them on the walkie-talkie and they leave the playroom. So comfortable.
