Cut, extend, & continue using!

Over time it will tend to break along bent areas. I like that I can cut that part off, spread out accordion, and reattach good areas to connecting edge pieces a few times before replacing.

Sturdy, high quality material

The vent hose seems sturdy, bends easily without pulling too much from the unit. Though my old one was several years old this replacement appears to be a better quality.

It does it's job. very well.

As advertised, easy to install, as a universal replacement for the original, better quality (polypropylene), material which is essential for the heat it retains, and the coils are stronger (stainless steel). Flexible (extends) and no toxic/odor. Durable as advertised. Revain thk u.

Didn’t fit! for my opinion

It didn’t fit my unit although it was the correct diameter and my unit was listed as brand that it would fit. Had to use duct tape at both ends… ugh!

Correct size for Frigidaire portable air conditioner w/ 5 inch exhaust vent

This item has what appears to be a plastic shape-retaining inner wire whereas the original Frigidaire tube's inner shape-retaining wire was metal. I am not saying this is a negative, time will tell, but the original tube began cracking apart after a few years of usage. This plastic/composite inner ring could very well be a design improvement they came up with to make the tube last longer. Correct size for Frigidaire portable air conditioner w/ 5 inch exhaust vent and a better option than trying

Fits Perfectly on my review.

I recently got a new portable air conditioner, set it up in the room that needed it the most, except when I went to put the exhaust hose in the window, the hose did not quite reach all the way there. I was pretty flabbergasted. There was a slight obstruction in front of the window but not so big that I thought it would intrude on the air conditioner. When I set it up someone else, I learned basically it had to be a bout one foot away from the window or less, really hampering the versatility of…
