Good sensor for the price

Works well and is easy to use. This is not a laser design and therefore does not count individual particles, but rather a cloud detection device that integrates low output signals caused by particles or groups of particles passing through an infrared beam over a period of typically 30 seconds. Well, down to a micron, which falls within the territory of dust and pollen. This is the Shinyei PPD42NS sensor for those interested in specs.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Works perfectly, functions are very limited

Works perfectly but does not give quantitative results, only three states: free air, low pollution, high pollution. It's not clear what this means in practice, so it can only be used to monitor changes in air quality and not actual conditions. The problem isn't with the Grove board per se, but with the sensor they used to detect it - it has very limited capabilities.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Somewhat wrinkled
