Airhead FBT 1 Bimini Flag Holder Review

We love the concept of this flag holder; However, most pontoon boat frames are square. We could still install with zip ties, but not as tight.

Works great but I can see people getting frustrated trying to use a regular flag on it. We bought one from Airhead and it had a large foam grip that fits nicely in the mount. If you have a normal sized flag, the holder is too big.

I wish I had read some of the other reviews. The zippers that come with it are absolute crap. We lost our flag because the zip ties came loose so now we need to buy another flag. The company should consider adding quality zippers or not including them at all.

He does his job. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that the included velcro is not enough to keep it in place. It gets very hot on the lake and river, the glue tends to run out and not stick so we had to use zip ties to keep it in place and every time you need to remove the bimini you have to use the Cut cable ties. This product appears to be missing a companion product that would make it useful. I bought it together with a Kwik Tek F-48 (48") flag. I expected them to work together as they are from the same manufacturer and recommended by Revain as they are usually bought together. The handle on the F-48 flag is too big and actually came loose from the glue securing it to the pole when trying to fit it into this holder.I have now owned several other small traditional watersports flags with a large shorter…

The only problem is that this holder is only designed to attach a Bimini Top with round rails. We have square rails. I improvised and put it on our circular T-bar attached to our boat. If it had just stayed on the double sided tape it wouldn't hold now. Like once sat in the sun, duct tape doesn't seem to stick in a day. But the added zippers keep it in place for the last 3 months. I purchased a flag holder from Kwik Tek to mount a Jolly Roger on my 19ft SeaRay without having to drill through the body or bimini post to install a permanent flag holder mount. I have used my stern lantern as a flagpole in the past (unsuccessfully).
