NOT TIGHT AT ALL. The oil jug seals better than this one.

I just bought this container. What a waste of money time and now I have to drive to get it back. Close the lid and all at once! $30 for that plastic? It doesn't even write poetry? Do not order this container. Your oil bath seals better.

Good for Pet Food Maybe Not for Humans

I bought this for my cat's dry food after our kitty kept chewing on the packet. I did a lot of research as I saw that most of these containers actually leak. I'm not sure how well this would work for human food, but for our pet food it seals well enough to keep ants out and doesn't feel stale. As long as you don't manually touch that container, it should help.

The seal stopped working to make it airtight and I can't figure out how to fix it.

When I first received this product, I was amazed. I wanted to use it for dog food and the filling worked really well. The rubber gasket soon came out and I couldn't figure out how to put it back in place to get the gasket working properly. It was quite expensive for what it is, but I figured the print would last more than a week or two. At the moment I consider it a very poor value because it didn't live up to the hype and I'm very disappointed.

Arrived damaged and with design flaws

I was very disappointed that the container arrived damaged. The crack was right on the handle. I've checked it out and I highly doubt it's airtight. The lid has a removable silicone seal that needs to be perfectly aligned to be airtight. The problem is that since the seal is removable, it pops out of the grooves in the lid when you put it on, so the seal isn't completely airtight. I also see this as a design flaw. Nice but not sure how AIR TIGHT really is.

Good sturdy large container, holds about 20 pounds of flour. BUT the lid is designed so that you press down with the handle to "burp" the air, then block the seal by flipping the handle down. In this flat closed position, I can still remove the lid - and while it doesn't come off very easily, it doesn't take much effort either. I think if it were truly airtight you could almost grab a filled container by the handle without ripping the lid off, but that's not the case. So if you are looking for…
