Akebono ACT536 ProACT Ultra Premium Ceramic Review

These are good ceramic pads. Install my item with ease. I'm not giving it 5 stars because it lacked the replacement clips on the caliper that are included in other kits to allow for a more complete pad replacement. When they get very wet they also start to squeak a little on the slotted rotors. It will go away almost immediately, and my previous ceramic pads didn't.

I replaced my 2006 Acura TL brake pads with these. I also changed the rotors. I find that my braking performance with these pads is better than the original pads even when the car was new. I didn't even have to apply squeak dampening compound and the brakes are very quiet. If the car survives these pads I will definitely make this purchase again.

These pads are small and don't come with extra anti-squeak pads, but they fit my 2004 Acura (Honda) TL 6-SPD. The wheels are covered in soot, which means they're doing their job just like Brembo's front brake pads. They were cheaper than OEM and there shouldn't be much of a difference in performance so I'll probably buy these kits again when they wear out. PS: The packaging says "Made in USA" and "Made in Japan". I'm confused about this.

Great pads. They last a long time, don't fade or creak, and the powder pops up when they're 95% used and ready to be replaced. Just remember that when using these pads it is important that the rotors are clean and uncoated on the surface that the pads sit on, otherwise the chemical-thermal reaction will not complete. The cadmium on the Brembo messed up the break-in process. I thought the pads were the culprit until I spoke to Akebono tech support. I think the zinc coating could be the same…

WILL NOT fit 2006 Acura TL (Canadian Model, Automatic Transmission). I have no idea why Revain says they fit the 2006 Acura TL. I had to take a picture, the "ears" of the pads were about 2-3mm longer on each side of the pad (I compared them side by side with the original pads I replaced) and cut off excess material to match.
