I used them with resin. Pink fades and purple turns brown when used with black. Several projects ruined, very disappointed.

I like that this ink comes with a needle to open the bottle caps. I don't like most of the colors. Peach is actually neon pink, while navy blue can quickly turn purple. This is a great starter kit if you're new to alcohol ink, but if you're buying this as a gift for an experienced dyer, try a piñata or Tim Holtz.

This is my first purchase of alcohol ink so I have no idea how to compare quality or cost. But I know I've seen resin projects made with alcohol inks made by others that look crisper when dry. 1 drop of blue dye colors 40 ml of resin turquoise. It's also tedious to cut a hole in the top of a plastic ink bottle to inject paint one drop at a time. It's very easy to get a hole too big. However, I enjoy and enjoy these colors.

Pros: I have used this alcohol based ink on several of my products that I sell. They work great on a variety of media including glass, ceramic and mixed with epoxy/resin. Whites are amazing if you need them for epoxy or glasses. Weaknesses: The purple and pink colors are very picky and the color is very transparent almost to the point where there is no color left. I'm new to alcohol ink (and art projects in general) but I found it easy to use and odorless. Using 99% ethanol or isopropanol instead of the unwanted mixed stuff will save you a ton of money, and a free baby medicine dropper from the pharmacy, a hair dryer, and some table salt are great for adding texture and movement.
