It's still best to use Dawn Ultra Dishwashing Liquid in.

Product works but not very well for my needs. When cleaning my carburetor, it does not penetrate or destroy fuel and engine oil; I'm still lucky in that regard, only use Dawn Ultra dishwashing liquid. I was hoping that the higher pH 12 mix would work better than Dawn's neutral mix.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not trendy

Good detergent, no suds

I use this on heated parts washers. It works well. Even when injected under high pressure, it does not foam, which is very good. I use it at a concentration of 1%. I've found that it doesn't remove oil very well unless the solution is heated. I also use it in my ultrasonic cleaner (Crest 1200W), 1% solution at 175F. It removes dried dirt well, but I found it to be less effective than I thought at removing oil-soaked mud coatings or grease. However, it easily removes oil films.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Great addition to your CPAP cleaning regimen

I use this product as part of the Ultimate CPAP Cleaning Kit. It rinses off great, leaves no residue, doesn't have a strong smell and is of course very effective. My manufacturer, like most, recommends using baby shampoo as a daily cleanser. However, I didn't like the perfume. It's almost odorless. Another added benefit is its non-ionic property, making it compatible with most disinfectants. Works great in your dishwasher!

If you are disappointed with the performance of today's phosphate-free dishwashing detergents, give this product a try. It contains phosphates (8.7%) so it works just like you remember detergents that worked before phosphates were banned for environmental reasons. I was sick of my dishes coming out with cling film and even the most expensive quantum dishwashing liquid didn't bother. I'm familiar with Alconox products in the lab, they always work well, so I've decided to buy a box for home use…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
