Excellent purchase! for van parts and accessories

I bought this for my site trailer. That's more than half the price of brand name intakes, and guess what, it's the same as the $60 intake for my RV. Excellent purchase!

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Nothing here

Economical solution for 30A shore power cord

Ideal replacement for cheap casita cord. Install this connector on an aluminum panel to replace your access door and you have an ant and rodent repellent solution for your shoreline cable.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Low repairability

30 amp twist lock in electronics

Slightly smaller than the standard RV round "mouse hole" connector, but I was able to move it around and fit the opening. The twist lock works great, the lid is solid and has a nice "click" to close it fully. I like it.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Requires socket

Not a good product.

Delivered on time but not worth the risk. I installed them on a 30 amp service on my boat. Both blocks of wire locks are of poor quality. Each block either came loose during operation or almost caught fire. One unit melted. I ended up installing my OEM end cap but used the frame and door from that unit to give it a new look.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Write later

Nice looking but rubbish

Nice looking but rubbish. No matter how hard I tighten the fittings, they loosen. It is inconvenient to connect 110V and the switches will trip because the wires have come loose and shorted out. He had a marine electrician who works on boats and transports look at the device and was told it wasn't a very good device. I don't recommend it at all. Not only did the delivery take forever, now I have to order from one of the reputable manufacturers.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Piggy bank Price

Suitable for 6 AWG cable, NOT 240 volts!

Works well and after taking it apart I was able to drill holes for the wires on the back so I could plug 6 AWG wire into outlets. I only use this for 30 amp service but I had some 6/2 wires and figured it would be better than 10 AWG anyway. Just be careful not to strip the screws when disassembling as you don't want to drill the back holes while they're together or you'll damage the pins.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • There are cons

It works and can be repaired in the field

As mentioned the tabs loosen over time. There was an issue with the "linear" tip contact loosening, resulting in low resistance, causing the connector to overheat and the plastic case to melt slightly, but luckily it didn't get worse. Be sure to use dielectric grease on the connectors, and use an outdoor-rated cord on that inlet if exposed to the elements, which is pretty much a guarantee on most RVs.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Good but not great
