Bought two of these together with the fisch brand but same style and size. Both of these bits had off-center flat tips, fishing bits of such excellent quality that I never used them and just returned them. Now I only buy fish
I used this and a home made tool to drill holes in my table top and it worked great. Four out of five stars only because the last few holes were harder to complete than the first few. I drilled a tabletop out of 2.5" thick maple log. Take your time and let the drill bit cool between holes.
While drilling holes on my workbench, I noticed my drill bit was vibrating like crazy. At first I thought it was just the club getting clogged with shavings, but it happens even with a clean club. I threw it in my drill press and found that the end of the drill shank was straight but the tip was far out like the drill was bent. I requested a replacement on September 13th and will update my review when a replacement arrives.
