Nice, but... in my opinion.

Cute design and my 7 year old son loves the fit BUT he can't handle pool games (lots of pool time and inflatables). After 10-12 socks, it tore at the crotch so that it could not be repaired and it was conspicuous so that it could no longer be used. The material is really thin which probably makes tearing easier. By then he loved her and was upset that they were gone.

  • My 8 year old wears them every time we go swimming and loves how comfortable they are.
Cons
  • Too large. it looks cool Appears to be good quality.

PERFECT FOR 8 YEAR OLD CHILD!

The colors are the same as advertised. Too bad they made this model for adults. The shorts are adjustable with a drawstring and not too long!

Pros
  • I loved the colors and the fact that the chests are so easy to dress up for the grandkids.
Cons
  • Fabric and colors are beautiful. However, they were torn on the inside of the thigh. Like they forgot to sew on the inside leg.

Excellent fit, soft comfortable material!

Our 11 year old is big for his age and loves it. Ordered size 13-14. Many of the swim trunks we ordered were made of stiff material and looked "chubby". These Allistairs are made of a softer material and fit perfectly. We would have ordered more.

Pros
  • Seems to be pretty good quality. Made slightly larger, pretty close to "true size".
Cons
  • The black color can fade quickly after a few washes.

Order one size down from your usual size

Bought for an 8 year old and read reviews that they were too big so ordered a size down and they are perfect. Super cute, he loves her.

Fits well and I like it!

My son loves his pineapple swim trunks because they are more comfortable than his previous pair AND they remind him of his favorite SpongeBob cartoon. He's now a size 14 up from a size 12 and still has room to grow so he'll have at least one good summer with them, maybe two!

Pros
  • Turns out big. Exchange for a smaller size. Although very cute and good quality!
Cons
  • Pockets may not be large enough to store important items such as keys or money.

Huge and clean.

It's absolutely huge. I ordered a size 10 for my son and they look like they fit my husband. I don't think downsizing will help because they are very wide, just too much fabric. The yellow pineapple print shines through too.

  • Cute. The photo is a bit blurry but cool and my kid loved them.

  • Swim trunks may not be suitable for children who have problems with zippers, buttons or snaps.

Cute but HUGE in my rating

I ordered this in the smallest size they offer, 5/6. The size I received is marked 6 but it is very large. They are meant to be shorts but they are the same length as most size 6 pants my child wears. Skip them if you can't order a size down. They are huge.

Tip comes out easily

Cute but my son pulled the tip out after 5 minutes of wearing. It's impossible to get back in and now he can't wear it because it's too big. Danger of suffocation even for the little ones.

Great but big!

I really like these swim trunks for the price. The only problem is that they are a bit big. I bought two pairs for my 7 year old, one for each size (5-6 and 7-8), there wasn't much difference in size (the drawstring helps). In general, I liked them, but next time I will order one size smaller.

Cute but HUGE in my rating.

My son loves the prints but they are huge. Got a 5/6 for my son who normally wears a 6/7. The label said 6T. But soon he will grow in them :)

Funny swimming trunks - my new review

Definitely glad we read the reviews that suggested downsizing. The fit was perfect and my son loves these shorts. The color was the same as in the picture. Excellent purchase!

My boys love it: my review

In general very satisfied. Definitely run big; Bought size 10 for my 10 year old son who wears size 12 and size 10 fits well. Bought 6 (smallest size available) for my 6 year old and had to tie the laces tight but he loved them and says they are comfortable. Loved the bright colors/patterns. Dries fairly quickly after use.

  • Swim trunks may not fit your child properly even though they are advertised as size 6.

Pixel image is the best in my rating

Fits perfectly. This is such a wonderful and fun gift for my son! Only thing was the image on the shorts was very pixelated and blurry.

Bland In Real Life in my review.

The colors are much paler than I expected based on the pictures. Reminds me of a blurry photocopy. They're great if you prioritize functionality over style. But I bought them for my son (as opposed to a cheaper pair) because I liked the style. Disappointing.

The swim trunks fit my son perfectly. He even noticed the softness of the fabric when he first put them on. And the style is very current and fun. Great swimsuit.

Flag design is blurred

The fabric was not what I expected and the flag pattern on the shorts is washed and slightly faded. But my grandson loved her so who am I to complain?

My daughter refuses to wear tight clothes (including swimsuits) so we ordered them to try on instead of the usual girls bottoms and she loves them.

Too long, but technically true to size

Technically this is for waist size but length wise...too long, I ordered size 5 and it ended below my son's knee. Luckily I'm good with a sewing machine so it's quick but keep that in mind when ordering.

Good choice in my opinion

It is great! They have pockets, a drawstring waist and an inner mesh. The colors in the design are bright and clear. I bought these for my boy but now I want to buy one for myself too! The size runs a little big, so I recommend ordering one size smaller. I definitely recommend it!

Size looks super big

My son is 14 years old, I ordered size 13-14. Looks huge on it! Also, the barrel cut is a bit baggy. The patterns are bright and cool and the fabric is delicate. The 10-12 I ordered for my 10 year old son fits my 14 year old.

  • The swimsuit fits my son's waist but is very long - below the knees.
