I've tried five or six hardwood floor nozzles for the Dyson V8 (using an adaptor) and all but this one failed. They all work for basic dust, but when picking up pet hair, sand, and other debris, it really helps to open the front of the nozzle wide so it can all get into the vacuum. It does the trick, including pet hair and kitty litter. The brush itself is also soft enough not to leave marks on our shiny floor.

When I was a boy in the age of dinosaurs, every vacuum cleaner had multiple extensions to reach the top of the curtains. I'm guessing we don't clean the top of our curtains anymore because that stupid hose is only about 3 feet long. Let me just say - I've heard countless complaints about this. My husband is German and I mean GERMAN. I found these extension cords and didn't tell him anything. Just put them on and show him. So very happy and so much easier on his back!

I live on a farm and while we try not to track the dirt around the house we still get a lot. I had to use a vacuum without fan brushes, so I ended up with a manual Oreck. Over the years I've lost the wider brush head. This one is perfect and does a great job removing the dirt from my luxury vinyl plank floor. It's also great for pulling out pet hair. The nozzle is made of high quality materials. I will buy a second nozzle as a spare.

This is advertised as an attachment for a shop vacuum which typically has hoses much wider than a conventional vacuum. The holes/necks are usually much wider, so the nozzles also need to be wider to fit the Shop Vac. Realizing how small they were and that we couldn't use them on our Shop Vac we tried to see if we could use them on our regular vacuum but they were too small for that. In my opinion this is false advertising. I am very disappointed and am sending it back.
