👞 Allen Edmonds Classic Black Dress Shoe Review

Nice discreet black belt for a dress. Not as flexible as the AE tapes I've had in the past. Both inside and outside this tape is very dry. I don't know exactly how to describe it other than dry. The base is different and more akin to a semi-cured gray compared to the previous natural tan of my much older AE belt, which is more flexible and richer in moisture resistance with a soft tan felt base. AE is well known for the high quality of their shoes and in my opinion their belts live up to that quality. I have shoes of the same color so I needed something of the same color and nothing came close in the stores. It's definitely more than what I spent on the belt, but I'm very happy with it. The leather and color match the AE shoes perfectly.

Strap fits as expected and initially appeared to be good quality however within a month the finish began to wear and tear . Seems to be very poor quality for a $100+ belt, consistent with normal department store belts at half the price. Unfortunately, this is the only belt that matches the color of my AE shoes, otherwise I would have worn something else. Overall this is quite disappointing as I find AE shoes to be worth the price but their straps don't seem to fall into the same category of…

Item delivered was already used and was returned. The upper leather showed signs of wear where it was supposedly buttoned. The outer skin feels very thin and wears out quickly. Solid buckle. Overall the quality of Allen Edmonds belts is not as good as others I have purchased in the past. The price is too high for the quality of delivery.

This is a timeless classic belt. Plain black leather with a simple seam on the edge and an elegant chrome buckle. The size was exactly what I expected. I had a 44 inch belt and had lost some weight (hooray!) so I was at the last hole in that belt. He dropped 42 inches and returned to the middle hole (2 more) as expected.

too short. I ordered 2 inches above waist but it was still too short. Be sure to order 4 inches above the waist. Tried a larger size.

I bought this belt to replace a very high quality belt I bought in Italy. The quality of the leather and tailoring are excellent. My belt is black so I can't comment on the tears mentioned in other reviews. The leather trim on mine looks like aniline leather with paint all over the material. The belt trim is flexible (very hard to find in American belts). The quality of the metal buckle is excellent.
