Deformed and only 250 mAh

Solar cells arrived deformed and 500 mAh is a lie. I get 5 to 5.5V but mAh is only 250 for one and 200 for the other. Simply put, they mislead you about what their solar panels are designed for.

They work as advertised.

Works best in sun and wind as expected

I am using these panels for a project and they work great. They appear to be well made. The real test will be how they hold up in sunlight as most panels will fog up and become less efficient over time. I haven't done it yet but will update this once I have this information.

ALLPOWERS 2 pcs 2.5W 5V/500mAh Solar Panel - Not satisfied - Surface fogged up

I have an Acurite weather station. The original solar panels have failed and the fan is compensating for the temperature of the sensor. I ended up replacing the fan and powering it with this solar panel. It worked fine for the first 9 months. However, after a few months, the top of the panel fogged up heavily. My guess is that in less than a year it won't be generating enough power to support this application. For this reason I can only give this device 1 star.

Build quality is good, solder joints are good. At 3:00 p.m. in Northern California, two panels connected in parallel provide 6.2V idle and about 5.6V charged for the iPhone6. The problem that deserves 3 stars is the current. I connected 2 of these panels in parallel and connected them to a DROK voltage regulator which also provides the correct D and D+ voltages on the USB connector to tell the iPhone that it is a 1A charger. I tested the DROK with a 6V 4xAA battery pack and it delivers 0.99A…

Worked best in solar panels

A year ago I bought 2 solar powered spotlights which were perfect for my application. The light is said to stay in a dimmed mode throughout the night, getting brighter when motion is detected. One lightbulb worked fine and still works as it should. The other light will only last about an hour. I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement, same thing, replacement only takes about an hour. I contacted the seller again and just received a refund for the bad light.
