Poorly Packed - Torque Wrench

Item arrived with the gauge plate bent. I had to tap the panel with a hammer to straighten it. I think the damage was caused by the seller as the box it came in showed no signs of damage.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Fine

Works as advertised

Torque wrench not needed as often and my old one was gone. Everything available in town was high tech and very expensive, so I ordered this Jane-themed item from Revane. It worked.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Heavy Duty Torque Wrench with 1/2 " Drive Pin

Bought for a new motorcycle owner who wants to do some maintenance himself. This is just a very basic torque wrench that doesn't require any special skills. User parts to successfully service their vehicle. I've taken the extra effort to calibrate and mark (engrave on the scale with a vibrating "pencil" on the scale) the torque settings for some of the more accurate mounts on the bike, but that's enough out. close, full size, for most jobs It's a very inexpensive, flexible tool for people who…

Pros
  • Heavy Duty Construction
Cons
  • No Auto

Doesn't work, didn't even tighten the cam bolt before it broke

Doesn't work, never tightened the cam bolt before it broke. It only works in the opposite direction, but I haven't really tried it. It was a failure for me.

Pros
  • Measures torque values from 0 to 140 ft-lbs and 0 to 20 meter-kilograms
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Item arrived worn, bent and used

This is a pretty good deal for a torque wrench; However, when I opened the box, I noticed that the dial was completely worn, the pointer was not at zero and it looked like it was filled with turnips. The box wasn't damaged at all so I think it was just packed and shipped that way. The wrench is also a lot taller than me, although it would be difficult or impossible to use in a confined space.

Pros
  • Reliable and durable
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived

It's ok for the price - but NOT for accurate measurements, IMO

The unit arrived well packaged surrounded by bundles of brown shipping paper. However, the needle does not reset and actually points to 5.5 pounds. torque. Either the needle is bent or the record is wrong, but either way I'm hesitant to say it will be "perfectly" accurate. The price and what I need it for doesn't really matter, but if you want absolute precision, this tool may not be for you. It also has no instructions. Good thing I already know how to use it. Can I suggest this to someone…

Pros
  • Pin needle
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks
