No longer works in Power & Electrical

This was fairly easy to install (note the shaft is very short so get a longer one if you need it to go through thicker material) and worked as advertised, but after a short few months (and probably 10 uses) it stopped working properly. The lights first started flickering when you made them brighter and now they only reach 30-40% brightness. I'll probably get a replacement just to make sure it fits where the previous dimmer was. I'll keep you updated if I just had a defect.

Terrible product, very bad support

Read carefully. To use this dimmer you need to run a wire from it through the walls and ceiling to get to the lights you want to dim. You can't just place it in line with the power cord that goes to the lights. I tried contacting support via email and asked for a clearer connection diagram. No Answer. I asked again and received the same tiny spreadsheet that came in the package. No help. I emailed again and the reply came from someone who spoke minimal English and couldn't make himself…

Works but not in all situations

Yes as a dimmer this is a good product. But its introduction to wiring in a motor home is dubious. To use it you must have both a positive and negative signal from the LED. Think of it as a loop. You can't just take the positive (load) side of a toggle switch in an RV and find a negative or ground terminal nearby. You should find the minus of the LED you want to dim. In my case, Grand Design connected the negative wire back to the common rail on the switchboard (through the apartment building)…

Limited use for this

As many have said this seems to work fine with a single light source. I was trying to install a bunch of sensors in my pontoon. However, I was able to get it to work, which meant eliminating all other sensor-related reasons and only the hot one, so only 1 loop. It seemed that he could not withstand the strain. There was an awful hum during operation and even in the off position it seems like there is still power going to my sensors in low light as well as with the ignition on. I removed it from

A fatal flaw best in Power & Electrical

But really a 5 star rating. I love it. Well built. Happy to order another one. Just a caveat. DO NOT OVERFILL POLARITY! The application I wanted this for should have positive dimming. This is negative dimming. This means that the negative side of the voltage is reduced and not the positive side. The result of polarity reversal is a smoke show. Yes, I smoked it out of a pack for ten minutes! Connected correctly, stood perfectly. I don't care at all. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is to point…

Everything looked good at first but a lot of problems arose

I originally ordered 2 of these for my van conversion. One of them had a negative wire, soldered and fell out of the dimmer making it impossible to use, and the other had some kind of short circuit and wasn't working properly. Revain replaced both of them, and one of them *also* had wire solder. I ended up only ordering a third one because I ordered 2 packs and Revain didn't have the option to return just 1. Now - after 4-5 months and this replacement failed. When I turn it down to its lowest…
