I bought these because one of my 5 year old twin sons was performing and needed dress shoes asap. When I bought them I wasn't sure how they fit and if my child would wear them and be comfortable in them, but in the end my two twin sons really liked these shoes (so I bought a second pair) and wore them whenever possible, even to school, as long as it's not raining. My sons are both extremely athletic and this shoe holds up well when running. The shoes are also very cute. Highly recommended.
