Alpine ALP KCE 236B IPOD CABLE MINI Review

Don't waste time and money buying and installing. Doesn't work at all. I have an Alpine IVA-W205. On the other hand, it was a fast delivery.

I had to buy twice because the first time the auxiliary tip was quickly short-circuited. I let it run as long as I could and then gave up and bought another. I wish I could use regular wiring in my car so I don't have to deal with it. This time I added an AUX extension cord so I can plug it into this one and hide it away hoping it doesn't go bad like the other one.

Device worked fine for my application (I used it for Bluetooth connectivity) Alpine factory pins seem a bit off as in this aftermarket. You really have to push it in for it to fit. But it's not like I'll ever turn it on and off. So that's my only critical comment. But as I said, it works well, the sound is great, so I like the fast delivery.

This is the perfect adapter for my Alpine radio. Camera with iPod interface and radio when I bought it. However, when Apple switched to Lightning ports, I was no longer able to hear Pandora on my Alpine radio. This cable saves lives. I'm happy to be able to enjoy Pandora and music from my iPhone 5 over the radio again. Please note which blue plug you need. Alpine makes different blue plugs, they are not all the same.

Adding an extra input cable worked great on my old Alpine radio model (circa 2007). As per other reviews, the connector is VERY tight and actually requires quite a bit of force to insert. I almost thought I was going to break it, I had to squeeze it so hard. At least I know it won't come by itself. The only drawback is the VERY short cable. I plan to add an extra input jack to the dash and connect it to the back of the jack.
