small bass on coax speakers

I would not have bought them if I had known that their range, especially low frequencies, is less than my factory speakers.

Pros
  • Best in their niche
Cons
  • Negative impression

Alpine fan in coaxial speakers

As an installer, these are great speakers. Great sound quality and fast shipping. They were sent back because they didn't match my Sienna as I had hoped.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Hard to say

Coaxial speakers

These speakers completely missed the mark in my boat with 2 Polk speakers, 2 amps and a subwoofer. I kept telling my husband that they were lacking something, that they lacked wealth and that they couldn't make a sound compared to my shelves. Maybe in the car, but not in my boat.

Pros
  • are missing something best
Cons
  • There are flaws

Best with high pass filter

Originally installed as front speakers connected to an Alpine head unit I wasn't impressed. As a broadband speaker, any bass spoils the sound quality. No complaints, once I installed the amp and used the high pass filter these really woke up.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Some complications

Clear sound, good volume, poor mid-bass

I replaced my factory 5.25" rear speakers with these. They fit perfectly with no modifications. The sound is good, but not outstanding. Mids and highs are decent. For them and the components in the front doors I use an amplifier with 60 watts per channel, for the 10" subwoofer 350 watts. What these speakers lack is mid-bass. Of course it's only 5.25 inches, but for a fuller one Overall sound I would like to get a little more midrange bass out of them, but at volume the mids and highs remain…

Pros
  • Great workmanship
Cons
  • Fairly good

Great speaker replacement!

Purchased to replace a weaker non-OEM Pioneer speaker set in the front doors of a 2011 Mazda 3. Upgrade was required after adding a 50W x 4ch amplifier behind the dash; the pioneers could only work with 35 watts RMS. These baddies, combined with the upgraded JBL kit on the rear, sound absolutely phenomenal, especially when compared to the stock radio (which probably puts out 8 watts per channel) and crappy stock speakers. The head unit (also a Pioneer) put out around 14 watts but with the new…

  • GOLS certified
