    Instant euphoria from a kick.

In the first step, your stride becomes correct and you walk or run with the biomechanically correct landing and toe lift as nature intended. These are the only shoes I will buy. Forget the impressive big names about stilettos based on the belief that ridiculous heel cushioning means "better". You are not. If you like Shin Splints, buy one of the others. Buy them if you want to experience the fact that zero-drop cushioning shoes bring functionality, not function, to your workout.

    Pros
    • The comfortable interior of the shoe provides ample cushioning and support, keeping your feet comfortable and protected from impact and wear.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be suitable for people with Achilles tendonitis.

    Clueless new review

I've been using Altra for several years and have never had any foot or knee problems. However, these Paradigm shoes have some sort of adjustable lace support and I've had knee or ankle pain on a couple of runs. Every time I unlace it's impossible to know what "setup" I have on for the assist and it's only after a few miles that I start to feel pain. Otherwise, fit and cushioning are as expected from the Altra, which is excellent.

    Pros
    • Great shoe with a little more room in the toe area!
    Cons
    • Shoes can be tight to the toes.

    Rubber falls off outside

Have used Altra shoes for years. After 3 walks in these shoes the rubber started to fall off and fall off on the outside. Altra explained that unfortunately this is now considered normal wear and tear on their shoes. Comfortable shoe but for the price I expect it to last longer.

    Pros
    • Price
    Cons
    • The size may be smaller than expected

    Great shoe, too narrow

This shoe is light and comfortable. The length was perfect but it was narrower than he needed. It wasn't uncomfortable in width, but it didn't support both outer edges of the sole. Finding a size 14 wide was not easy.

    Pros
    • They provide support and are not too wide in the toe area. You should make these shoes forever.
    Cons
    • It's hard on the feet

    Comfortable shoes, wonderful

Now I have several pairs of Provision 5. Comfortable, stable, cool, durable. I can't say enough good things about these shoes - I love them.

    Pros
    • The rubber outsole provides excellent traction on a variety of surfaces, making it ideal for all types of road running.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not provide enough stability for some runners.

    Gran calidad and comodidad

Son increiblemente comodos y mejoraron las correas de soporte que en la version anterior eran 3 y desalineaban levemente el pie dentro del zapato

    Pros
    • Crafted from premium materials, these shoes offer excellent breathability and ventilation to keep your feet cool and dry during intense workouts.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be breathable enough for some users.

Too little. - my new rating

Despite a rating of 10.5, the shoes were at least half a size too small. In addition, the ankle height is lower than comparable shoes.

    Pros
    • Muy buen producto y comodo
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be strong enough for frequent use.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not as good for stability as older models

I overpronate my foot and have been very happy with the Provision 3.5 for several years. The Provision 5 is a completely different shoe, it has more cushioning but allows my feet to sink in like a normal running shoe. There's also slightly less vertical toe room. return due to pronation.

    Pros
    • Good product, I will order more.
    Cons
    • The design may not be trendy enough for some consumers.

Great shoes but the heel slips

Make a deal for a new pair of alts. I checked them out at the factory in Lehi, Utah, and they were only $10 more than new. As other reviews have noted, heel slippage is an issue due to the thicker tongue and heel, but the running loop easily fixed the issue. Super comfortable on those long slow recovery runs.

    Pros
    • The shoes are suitable for all types of runners, whether you are a seasoned athlete or just starting out on your fitness journey.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be suitable for people with large foot volume.

Poor design and build quality for Altra

I've been wearing them as a casual shoe for about 2 months and the profile is already coming off at the bottom. I still have a few pairs of Altra running and trail running shoes and they all fit great and last really well. I am very disappointed with the workmanship of the Provision 5. In addition to the poor workmanship, the tongue is too narrow and slips to the side after more than 5 minutes of running. It was a little irritation at first, but it caused pressure points in my blood vessels…

    Pros
    • The most comfortable running shoes I've ever worn.
    Cons
    • The price may be too high for some consumers

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

My best couple! good for me

All the usual benefits of Altra shoes without the drop and shape. The insoles have a massage effect, which is nice. I wish they were a little cheaper but you get what you pay for. More comfortable than TORO which I used to buy.

    Pros
    • The ALTRA AL0A4VQJ Provision 5 men's running shoe is designed for optimal comfort, support and durability.
    Cons
    • The shoes may be too heavy for some runners.

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

Okay, not perfect in my opinion.

Unfortunately not as wide as my old age. They feel great, but I wish they could figure out how to look less like a shabby version of dad sneakers.

    Pros
    • I have a lump on my right foot and the wide toe box makes these shoes great.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be suitable for long-distance running.

    Nothing for enthusiastic everyday runners

My husband loves these shoes but has changed 2 pairs in less than a year. They are too expensive to be damaged beyond repair within 5 months of purchase.

    Pros
    • The Provision 5 road running shoe features a unique design that stabilizes the foot and helps prevent overpronation, reducing the risk of injury while running.
    Cons
    • Shoes may cause blisters or discomfort during use.

    Very stylish and comfortable shoes

Decided to buy these after using Asics and Nike for road running for over 10 years. Alta shoes are more stylish, comfortable and affordable.

    Pros
    • shoes fit, wear.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not provide adequate arch support.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good shoes in my opinion

Innovative design. supports as described. Only used a few times since purchase but already feeling better during and after short runs (3-7 miles). I would recommend these shoes.

    Pros
    • The shoe's lightweight construction allows for effortless mobility, so you can move effortlessly down the road with every step.
    Cons
    • Shoelaces may be too short for some users.

    Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not even in the box yet - my new review

The shoes meet my expectations except I am not sure if they are new. They weren't even in the box. Maybe a refund or something. Disappointing.

    Pros
    • Nice shoes interesting design
    Cons
    • The color combination may not be to everyone's taste

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love Altra's wide toe box!

If only they had a little more softness and arch support, they would be the perfect shoe for me! I like the wide toe box and for a normal foot they probably have enough cushioning but with my foot issues a little more would be ideal. Don't get me wrong... It's still a very comfortable shoe and in the future I might go for the Altra!

    Pros
    • I wore altra for 7-8 years. I like the comfort and functionality of the shoes. Looks good too.
    Cons
    • The shoes may not be flexible enough for some runners.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

I can buy the right size

I have very bad legs from rheumatoid arthritis. Most of the shoes I have to buy are too big and too wide. But because of the shape I was able to buy the right size. I can walk much more safely. I bought custom shoes and they didn't fit me. So for $100 this is my ideal solution. Buy 2 pairs in case they stop making them. Some people won't like the shape. Very different from most. But I like to wear clothes that are the right size.

    Pros
    • The breathable mesh upper provides excellent ventilation, keeping your feet cool and comfortable even in warm weather or during intense workouts.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be aesthetically pleasing to some consumers.

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

    Pretty good, but not perfect

I wore these shoes for about a year. I ran maybe 10 miles a week and walked about 5 miles a week which is about 500 and 250 miles respectively. PROS: They fit great. Lots of room in the toe area. Good cushioning for a zero drop shoe if that's what you're into. CONS: They are expensive. They wear out too quickly for a $140 shoe. Most of the time I've spent in these shoes was recovering from a bad knee injury, so I haven't run marathons in them. After about 9 months the right shoe has been making

    Pros
    • The Zero Drop platform provides a natural stride and reduces stress on the joints, protecting them from stress injuries.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be suitable for people with plantar fasciitis.

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not so broad in my rating.

As many have said, the toe box is not as wide as the older versions of Altra shoes. The double inner arch supports "tags" that dig into the foot when pulled out. The tongue falls to the side no matter how you lace and tie it. Not as much a fan of theirs as the latest Altra shoes.

    Pros
    • Easy to clean and maintain, the Provision 5 road running shoes offer long-lasting performance even after repeated use and washing.
    Cons
    • Shoes may not be suitable for people with wide heels.
