This is a really good slide, especially given the low cost. Of course, if the product sucks, it doesn't matter if you're saving money. It definitely isn't shit! Sturdy construction, good strong clamp, clear markings. Compare it to those that cost ten times as much and you'll still be impressed.

I needed this rail to use my standard lens on my L mount gimbal camera. The gimbal head has a forward-facing base so a large telephoto lens can be mounted on it with the leg forward. To use the "L" camera that I usually use on a ball head, I now mount the modal rail on a standard lens and it fits my gimbal.

At $21 a great buy if you don't have an RRS BH-55 QR lever head as it's not 100% tight, but for any other head that uses a twist lock it's a MUST BUY! What offer! Very high quality but not RRS quality BUT $120 less, it's worth it. I bought this for two purposes. First, to simplify the camera setup for macro photography. This splint is very well made with high quality materials. It's very simple and doesn't contain anything you don't need. 140mm is also the most suitable length for most medium to wide focal length lenses.
