Good heatsink for custom projects

I bought this to use as a cooler for my LimeSDR mini. I only needed part of the heatsink for the project, so I used a hacksaw to cut a piece to the appropriate size. The rest can be used for other projects in the future - chipsets, RAM, etc.

Works perfectly. - Internals

I have a Grin 52V charger that doesn't have a 4 amp charge fan. This is normal as the manufacturer has designed the charger to withstand the thermal stress of charging. I figured I could use this heatsink to keep the charger running at a cooler temperature. And it works very well. I attached it to the top of the charger with double sided tape which is recommended for attaching heatsinks to a heat source. It's an expensive charger, but it's my go-to choice for charging a $1,000 lithium-ionโ€ฆ

3090 VRAM 2C Reduction

I taped this to the back of my Zotac 3090 Trinity OC using XTM50 Corsair thermal paste as I was trying to lower the VRAM temp for mining. I cut the heatsink to fit perfectly between the screws and allow me to disconnect the GPU if I need to replace the thermal pads. On average I get 2MHz more and steadily lower the temperature by 2C. In addition, the GPU fan spins 100% less frequently and stays at around 70%, making the system quieter overall. It's definitely worth installing a heatsink on topโ€ฆ
