💻 Alxum USB 3.0 to SATA Dual Bay External Hard Drive Docking Station – Support 2.5/3.5 Inch HDD/SSD, UASP, 8TB Drives, Offline Clone – Aluminum Design Review

Two hard drives inserted for PC backup. Two disks became inaccessible during backup yesterday. I don't know what happened, the only option is to reformat the two drives so all data is lost. I've had more than ten docks/cases, this is the first time I've encountered such a problem. It would be very sad if important data was lost. should remind others who still use this dock: be careful with your data.

The clone function doesn't work. The instruction is: 1) Put the source disk in A and the target disk in B2) Press the clone button and hold for 3 seconds until 100% progress (blue) lights up 3) Then press the clone button again 1 time. Sounds easy. In the 1st order, pressing step (2) does not cause the 100% progress LED to never light up. Bought on 05/19/2017, works but stopped working 3 days ago. It's just over two months old so I can't return it. Two days ago I sent an email to Alxum describing a problem with this product. I have not received a response from Alxum.

The best thing about this experience is the customer support. I initially had issues with the included power adapter as it came with an adapter designed for use outside of the US. I asked for support and someone happily replied and sent me the correct adapter. I use it in a variety of ways, but mostly to replace hard drives without having to open my case. For my use case it was perfect. Thanks very much!

Handsome; Maybe due to my lack of necessary skills I couldn't bring it to life and returned it. I made a mistake and returned the unit a few days after the deadline, but the company accepted it (with a higher restocking fee) and refunded most of the purchase price. I sincerely wish I could give a higher rating but the product didn't suit me. Standby power is 3w when my ssds maybe 5w run very fast and efficient without guessing if UASP supported as in some cases it just works.
