In 2019 all air conditioners have an option that allows you to set your desired room temperature and the unit will turn off and then back on when the room temperature exceeds that temperature. Tempo. So be prepared that it works NON-STOP if you don't want the room to have no air conditioning at all. The fan turns on and off, but not the compressor. I installed it (very easily), it worked (good enough for a small room but not great), it was a little noisy (but not that much), and after about a month it accidentally stopped cooling. Support offered to pay for any repairs I could do locally, but I ended up not being able to find a shop near me for such things (most only work on larger units, not window air conditioners). They then allowed me to return the item but didn't give me a full refund as the air conditioning didn't cut out fast…
