I haven't tried any of these in the shower yet. These items are for kids with big heads and no hair. These hats barely cover my head! Both ears are open; The garters are so loose that this cover can easily fall off if water flows through it. It's just loose on my head and I need pins to even hold it! What shopping for the day! I really hate giving things back out of concern. But I will try to at least try them and see. Laugh and smile as needed, but never order them again.

The silky soft material gets wet and, if you look at the photo, goes all the way to the inner edge, which then transfers the water onto your hair. I was angry because I had just ironed my hair. How could you approve a product to protect it from water and not test it?

They are perfect for me. I'm so tired of those giant plastic bottles that wear out or cheap hotel rooms. They are especially soft around the edges and won't scratch your ears. Very well made, feels like they were designed by someone who actually makes them! I have lots of hair but a small head. I wouldn't want them any smaller.
