When you get to around 45-50 mph you won't hear anything clearly but for slow/city driving it's pretty good we have a clear connection up to around a mile apart.

The clamp is actually intended as a semi-permanent attachment (like a helmet when riding). The second clamp uses screws to attach the clamp to the object. I personally use this clip to attach to my belt. So I had to loosen the screws to accommodate the seat on the harness. I didn't use enough to determine if the screws were loose (not tightened) to slip on my belt, interfering with my intended use.

We had the netphone for a few years before realizing this clip was available for it. We use them to communicate when the big trawler is at anchor. We used to just put the transceiver in our pocket or try to wear bracelets, but they often collided and cut off. Finally, we found that this clip allows the transceiver to be permanently attached to a personal rescue device. Works perfectly! The only reason I didn't give five stars is that it would help if they made a clip with a spring clip.
