Sure the instructions are hard to read, Revain could use a multi word guide. But once you understand this, you don't have to do it again. The canvas bottom is easy to clean. I use a bath towel with an overlying fleece blanket tucked under a metal frame and sweep their messes daily. I change it every 3-4 days and wipe the canvas. It is not easy to remove the tarpaulin for regular cleaning. If you enjoy pulling out metal and tossing the contents of the tarp into a quick cleaning bag, this cage isn't for you. The silly design means you have to pull those poles out of the tarpaulin every time. I simply apply the cleaning solution to the canvas and manually scoop the contents into a sachet. The instructions are useless. The extra bars that came with it weren't clear what they were for. After a while I got it. The attachment of the bottom to the cage is weak and not very good, but I solved it with zip ties and am happy now. (see photo). I love this cage! I read all the reviews about how difficult it is to assemble so I was worried about that. It was very easy to set up. My 9 year old made it without even having to look at the instructions. Part of the cage is already assembled, so all you have to do is place it on the canvas and then pull the loops to attach it to the straight bar. i love the size!
