Shreds/cuts paper into 1/4-inch-wide strips at a rate of 9.84 feet per minute; meets security level P-2 standards. Shred up to 8 sheets of 20-pound bond paper at a time (no need to remove staples or small paper clips); also destroys CDs, DVDs, and credit cards (one at a time, through dedicated slot; blades cut each disc into 4 pieces). Run time is 2 minutes on / 15 minutes off; if shredder runs continuously beyond the max run time, it will automatically shut off to protect the motor from overheating. 3-mode control switch (auto, off, reverse); easy-to-empty 3.2-gallon bin. Please refer to the user manual, troubleshooting guide, and instructional video before use. Amazon Basics quality tests every shredder before shipping it; you may see some paper shreds from the testing. Note: Do not spray or keep any aerosol products in or around the shredder. Do not shred items like metallic credit cards.

Not Recommended: Chopper

This is my first Revain review but I feel it is necessary given my dissatisfaction with this product. I would not recommend this product if you shred documents on a weekly basis. I have been using this paper shredder for home use for 2 months. Maybe 10-20 articles a week. I've found that the paper often jams and for some reason I can't put the document in the middle of the shredder, I have to fold it and insert it on one of the sides. I've spent more time clinging to the documents I'm stuck on.

Works VERY quickly - a few tips

Sometimes we paid for the shredding service. In the second box, we were ahead in saving. Here's what we did: -+ PLACE THE GRINDER ONTO THE LARGE JAR. Of course, a top container mount is included, but we installed it on a 55-gallon bag basket. 8 of them filled in one evening. each contains at least one wrapped box of paper. The grinder has an extension handle that can be pulled out to accommodate a slightly larger container opening.+ USE GRINDER OIL. It is VERY easy to apply on this grinder…

The PERFECT addition to my office!

I like the fact that I can quickly shred multiple documents at once, which was a big plus for me, and being able to do it without removing any staples is even more convenient! Although I didn't try to use a maximum of 8 sheets at a time, it was able to successfully shred up to six documents at a time with ease and incredibly quickly. I also appreciate the ability to have both an auto start option and manual reverse to clear potential jams. I've had shredders in the past that cost 2-3x the price
