I wasn't expecting much for the price but these things have disappointed me a lot. The leg lock is a tiny grip with very little finger clearance around it, making it difficult to work with, and its size makes it impossible to get a truly reliable clamping force. The legs are really difficult to move which mitigates this somewhat, but over time as the parts wear and loosen I don't think the grip is tightened enough. Assuming it lasts that long because plastic is so cheap. The locks on the pillar

Important Note: Lighting and Studio

So they get the job done, but with a little help. Five stars for the lightness, but in my opinion they are too light. Looking at the photo I had to use about 3lbs. Ankle weights to ensure they stay upright and don't fall off due to the weight of the fabric backdrop I'm using. Still, the weights don't feel heavy enough to hold. Stability. inferior and somewhat disappointing. They kept falling off until I found the sweet spot where it finally worked and used ankle weights. These tripods look and…

Best quality in this price range FIVE STARS

I am a professional photographer and videographer and while these stands do not fall into the "pro" category I use them in many cases where I have accessories in corners or I have the flash lights mounted on top (a 1/4-20 threaded pole is standard), the audio mics mounted on the pole, the GoPro cameras mounted and basically any small equipment you need to support. There is a nice white line on the bottom segment that shows exactly where the legs should be placed for maximum stability. QUIET…

I wasn't expecting much for the price and these things have shockingly disappointed me. It's difficult to work with and because of its size, it's impossible to get a truly reliable clamping force. The legs are really hard to move which mitigates this a bit, but over time as the parts wear and loosen I don't think the grip is tightened enough. Assuming it lasts that long because plastic is so cheap. The locks on the pillar are again very cheap plastic. Small thin levers without adjustment…

Lightweight and economical

I always seem to need one more bedside table than I have so this is a good economical option to keep a few more on the shelf. There is a groove on the shank to limit twisting, I'm not sure if I like it or not but each situation will have its own slant and I suspect this gives strength to the pipe so that's it saved weight is a big plus. I wouldn't put a high modifier studio light on them, but they hold up the extra reflectors well. Their light weight and low cost will likely make them popular…
