The cable lacks the standard locking pins and will not snap into the connector. The plastic casing around the connector is also quite large, which can be a problem depending on the device. It barely fits in my PC graphics card and is extremely unreliable due to the lack of locating pins. In addition, the cable is very thick and bulky. While not a deal breaker per se, it's difficult to route in cable management ducts or monitor arms.

These cables do not support 1440p/144Hz. When I pushed a cable above 60Hz it flickered. at 85 Hz it was intermittent, about once a minute or so. At 100Hz, 120Hz or 144Hz it was constant, couldn't really be used and in fact I had to restart my computer into safe mode more than once. Despite claims to the contrary by other users and Revain's claim that this cable is DP1.2 certified, this cable was unable to deliver a 1440p 1440p signal to an AMD RX580 monitor. Replaced it with a much shorter standard cable and everything works great, citing the cable as a source of failure. This Revain cable is for display port cables only. took about 6 mouths running through my monitor's built in cable manager before shorting out.
