A problem, but worth it.

They also work as they should. The only problem I have from time to time is that the side preventing the wire from moving either digs into the wire or damages it and doesn't expose it. Sometimes it never happens and sometimes it always happens. But I love the fact that it's easy to use and when it works, it works great.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some bugs

Works very well. You just have to adjust your jaw tension.

Tool works fine. I like it when the wire stopper always strips the same amount of insulation. The only thing I had to do was adjust the jaw gauge a bit until I dialed it in for the size of wire I was using. Otherwise the jaws will slip. Once it was tightened, I cut the 10-22 AWG wire with no problem.

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Minor issues

Bad quality - buy something better.

The tool has to be constantly readjusted. Even though it says "Self-Tuning", it doesn't say anything about self-tuning. Both the stripper bite force adjustment dial and the crappy plastic wire length lock should be checked and adjusted AFTER EVERY USE. Also, I have to open the pliers after using them to strip the wire. The spring for opening the pliers is too weak. This thing is useless. Buy something better. I am sending this back.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!

  • Some disadvantages

Not so good: Power and hand tools

I am disappointed with these wire strippers. It had to be adjusted several times to properly strip the wire. Out of the box, he didn't expose the wires at all. Simply slide along the wire. After the right adjustment, it really banged. But the handles would stick and not return to the closed position after each wire stripping. A real pain when making multiple cable strips. Especially when the wire stripper just slipped along the wire and didn't tear the wire, but damaged it. I tested this one…

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

It has some flaws

After installing 8 speakers, an amp and a head unit on my Harley Street Glide I realized I needed wire strippers to make the process quicker and easier. This wire stripper works but has some disadvantages: After stripping the wire, you need to do two things: 1. Remove the rubber cover that is left inside the wire stripper. 2. Fully open the scraper by pulling out the handles. After stripping the wire, the handles get stuck halfway and won't open fully. To fix this you need to open it again…

Pros
  • It's amazing
Cons
  • Modern

Great cheap wire stripper

It wasn't my first choice but figured for the price I'd give it a try. A great purchase for the price, as I only do it as a hobby. I've dealt with many strippers before, but this one was really worth my money. More Realistic: You have a good reach to remove the plastic coating from your wire. I know he says he has a specific area to work in, but like everything else, it all depends on the style of reporting. Bare coat hard coating is very easy for almost any stripping tool. I don't have a huge…

It only succeeded once every 5 or 6 attempts

I'm renovating my kitchen and need to relocate a lot of cables because I'm removing a wall. I figured it would save time compared to my trusty old wire stripper. I tried stripping standard Romex AWG12 and AWG14 wires. I've tried dozens of different inflation button settings and none have been more than 20% successful. Sometimes nothing worked. In most cases, the insulation came loose in the wrong place (where the wire was supposed to be held, not where the insulation was supposed to be cut). At
