For the price, these are good dusk-to-dawn lights.

For the price these are good dusk 'til dawn bulbs. Strangely, when screwed in, the sensor faces the wall and not the open space. I had older Philips Dusk Till Dawn bulbs with the same sensor design and the sensors always pointed outwards when screwed in. You have the opposite trend. Because of this, I wasn't able to screw them in as tightly as I would have liked since the sensor is pointing to the side rather than flush to the wall. Anyway they seem to be working well so far and they're nice…

Doesn't work in frosted porch railing

I need automatic porch lights as I keep forgetting to turn them on and off. My light body is frozen. I've read the reviews and the Q&A and several people have said that it works great in matte cases. Unfortunately it isn't. I used a lightbulb during the day. I flipped the switch on, the light blinked 4 times then went off. So far so good, I thought. Once it got dark outside, instead of turning on and staying on, the bulb turned into a strobe light and just started blinking constantly. The light

A simple solution to an old problem!

UPDATE: It's been two months since I installed it. I did a great job in any weather. On at night, off in the morning. Good product. Works perfectly! I installed them in my outdoor lights above my patio and they work exactly as intended. They turn on at night and turn off in the morning. We don't have to worry about accidentally leaving it on all night or forgetting to turn it on. Added security layer. I bought the "Soft White" version for a warmer patio glow.
