Does what it's supposed to do very well.

I wanted a good can opener that would make a decent sized hole on the rim of the can. Others I've bought recently made a hole about 1/4 inch from the edge or were so brittle that they bent on first use. This one is well designed.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Infinitely slow

Sturdy with excellent grip

Comfortable grip provides excellent leverage. Steel is strong and sharp, which breaks through cans very easily, like condensed milk. This opener performs exactly as you'd hope it would and looks great doing it. I highly recommend it if you are looking for this type of opener.

Pros
  • Always popular
Cons
  • Repair

Cannot pierce large juice cans.

I bought this - the largest I could find - at 48 oz. cans of tomato juice. The lids of these jars are of thick steel, and nothing has been able to pierce them successfully. We use a can opener to remove the entire lid, but the filling comes out messy, to say the least. The end bends easily without severely damaging the glass. Not recommended for anything other than light use (e.g. small soup glasses).

Pros
  • Stylish and Modern Design
Cons
  • Slightly Crumpled

Not very strong for bar and wine tools

Neck flexes when opened. When I tried to open a 46-ounce can by lifting the back for a lever to allow the piercing tip to enter the can, the metal under the bottle opener buckled. I have other thicker piercing tips that do the job without flexing. One of my best lacks the chrome finish on the tip area, so I wanted stainless steel. I have a stainless small but wanted something with a larger body. Looks good but should be thicker. I haven't tried the bottle opener.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak
