🎥 Amcrest NV4108E-HS 4K 8CH POE NVR: High Resolution 8-Channel Network Video Recorder with 8MP/4K IP Camera Support and 6TB HDD Compatibility Review

From wireless camera to this NVR, this thing has many functions, I buy 8MP cameras, each camera is expensive, but they cost money, the Quality is better than any 5MP.

This is a great NVR. I just popped in a 4 terabyte hard drive, powered it on and set it up in 15 minutes. The only difficulty is that you have WiFi extenders on your home network, but the app makes it easy to set up the cameras.

I have used Amcrest products for many years. They're better than the competition and the fact that you can call a support agent who knows the product and can help is invaluable. Highly recommended. Just spoke to Benjamin S. who helped me with everything. I am 100% satisfied with Amcrest's products and support.

I have tried several PoE cameras etc. Amcrest has made it pretty easy and so far so good. I'm not voting for movement as one camera is on top of a tower and is next to the other vegetation. I bought a 6TB Skyhawk HD and recorded 24/7. So far so good! * I apologize if I double. I wanted to add TB instead of GB, but not sure if it's a fix or a repost (a little confusing Revane).

I bought an 8 channel DVR with 4 cameras - 1 PC, 1 bullet cam and 2 domes. Things are expensive and had to be bought individually. But all this is worth the sacrifice. Installation was simple and straightforward, and the image quality from the camera is exceptional. I'm still learning how to take full advantage of the system, but every time I look at the display I'm glad my money was well spent. I recommend amcrest for a quality product.

My email notification suddenly stopped working after almost a year without any problems. The setting has been checked and remains as described in the instructions. Spent an hour troubleshooting the firmware. Finally, I called 713-893-8956 and asked for help from Gary, who spoke with a slight Indian accent. I gave him access to my computer using the Amcrest.com Remote app. He tried my settings first. Still failing email tests. He then changed the port and encryption type from 465/SSL to 587/TLS.

The initial hardware setup was fairly easy. I connected a mouse and monitor for the initial setup, then switched to the easier-to-use web interface for later management. The web interface isn't intuitive, but once you get the hang of how things work, it's not too bad. The schedule programming and camera configuration pages need some redesign, but they have many nice features. The actual hardware looks very nice, with a solid body and connections. The instructions for the NVR are not the most intuitive and the NVR will ask for Preferred DNS and Alternate DNS during setup. I stopped here until I found out by searching that I had to enter 8.8.8.8 for the preferred DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the alternate DNS. I've already connected Amcrest WiFi cameras to the app and they work fine, but I couldn't connect them to the NVR. I contacted support and Jared helped me very patiently.
