Not Worth the Hype: my feedback

Based on my experience, this fabric paint fell short of expectations. While it claims to be "color magic," the end result was lackluster and faded quickly. The variety of colors is a plus, but the difficulty in achieving a vibrant, long-lasting result makes this product not worth the hype.

Pros
  • Easy to use and creates unique and customizable designs.
Cons
  • Requires skills and knowledge in color blending to maximize its potential.

Working well

After painting with acrylic I wanted to paint some more. In the lesson we used universal silicone oil. The results were fine. The teacher mentioned Cell Magic and I decided to give it a try. A world of differences. I know I will buy more when they run out.

Pros
  • Package Weight: 0.137 kg
Cons
  • Damaged

no cells, messed up some paintings

BIG disappointment! Got this for cells in acrylic fill, there are no cells. But when the paint dries, the result is a horribly uneven, cracked surface that looks like orange peel or cottage cheese. The same Sargent and Floetrol paints produce a smooth surface on the canvas without using Cell Magic. The only way to save my canvases is to cover them with texture and then paint another painting that needs texture. Pictures of two 8x10's taken yesterday,

Pros
  • Use this oil to add silicone to the paint, then heat with a burner to create cells and textures in the artwork
Cons
  • Doubtful
