Looks expensive in kitchen utensils and gadgets

Looks very expensive. And elegant. Definitely worth the price you pay. Looks great with matching kitchen cabinets and salad bowls

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Compatibility

Pepper mill good

I was looking for a larger pepper mill because I always filled my small one. I like this one because it has a nice fine grind, but it can be adjusted for coarser flakes by turning the small screw on top. I also like wooden grinders. I recommend this grinder to everyone.

Pros
  • shiny
Cons
  • not reliable

Nice looking set but salt comes out a bit quick

Bought these for my parents for Christmas as they love the large specimens we have (from a different brand and no longer on sale). They really like the way they look but when I was at their house I noticed that the salt comes out pretty quickly. Although the pepper mill is great and my parents really like it. A thicker salt, like sea salt, will likely work better for them than regular table salt.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • No instructions

Bad product in Kitchen & Dining

Bad design. The rod that goes down the block is cheap, the grinder is cheap, and the top fit is cheap. performance is bad. It should spill the pepper, but it doesn't. Adjusting the screw on top from fine to final is cheap, doesn't work well. My old Wal-Mart 12" pepper grinder works at least 5 times better and still works. The rod in the Wal-Mart device is twice as thick and stronger than this device. Bought as a Mother's Day gift and sadly disappointed.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Quality

I'm a bit disappointed with this pepper grinder. There's very little flavoring in for such a gigantic product - about two ounces I think. The screw on top also comes loose which is very annoying when you have to grind a lot of peppers! Update: 11/08/2013: I would not recommend this pepper mill. From the beginning I had problems loosening the screw. Now it doesn't work anymore. Something in the gearbox isn't working properly. I've taken it apart to see if I can figure out the problem, but Iโ€ฆ
