Waste of money on polarizing film

Unfortunately, I regret purchasing this item marketed for "Science Education" in the "Industrial and Scientific" category .When I tried to use it the film produced a blurry image that was difficult to interpret. On the positive side, the packaging was sleek and professional. However, the film itself was a let-down and ultimately not worth the investment..

Pros
  • High-quality polarizing film for superior visual experience.
Cons
  • Requires proper handling or can damage easily.

Works but scratches easily

This product works as advertised but scratches easily and in my use scratches render it unusable. I scan thin slices of minerals sandwiched between two polarizing sheets placed at right angles to each other. Some minerals "distort" light so that they become bright and visible when scanned, while other minerals that do not refract light remain dark. Scratches on the film allow light through and create bright, distorting streaks on the scan.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some minor issues
