American Standard 047158 0070A Tank Coupling Review

Well I wasn't sure if this would fit my number 4094 tank but I thought it would. This is a genuine American standard item. So before I placed my order, I called American Standard. I was held for about 15 minutes while they looked for a role. The number they gave me was for another kit they gave me. I had reservations about their advice as the operator was not knowledgeable. This item was just what I needed to fix a leaking cistern when flushing a toilet. The implication is that the new donut will be a lot thicker than your old one, but what I really mean is that I had to tighten the bolts quite a bit to get the tank to sit properly on the bowl. It's always a good idea to buy a kit from the same manufacturer as the appliance. I made the mistake of going to our local hardware store and buying a general purpose kit (just a set of tank to bowl bolts) and couldn't stop the leak. I bought this US standard kit and the first thing I noticed were washers. flexible rubber and for some strange reason the station wagon had hard rubber discs.
