Great quality at an affordable price

We bought this to replace the phone wiring in our house. It's good, solid wiring, and the price was reasonable. We are very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Empty

Actually 6 wires on the phone accessory

I'm fine, it has 6 solid copper wires (red, green, black, yellow, blue and brown). Works well and the solid core was the key piece I needed. for the possibility of connection behind / through the wall to telephone sockets.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • sad package

It's 6 wires not 4

That's awful, imagine my surprise when I peeled off the insulation and found it had 6 wires instead of 4. I thought, ok, I can still do it. If I then strip that, it turns out that the wire is so brittle that just a kink will break it.

Pros
  • Not cheap but decent
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Not recommended best in phone wires

Bought to replace an old phone line in the house. Installed with new CAT3 phone jacks. This cable is so thin that if you hit it, the insulation will not be damaged by contact. I had to strip down to bare copper, double it for thickness, and then punch it through. The copper was often so brittle that it simply broke. Absolute waste of my time and money. A standard home phone only needs 2 wires but this one has 6. Same as CAT3 but does not meet CAT3 specifications. I recommend using a higher…

It's 6 wires not 4

That's awful, imagine my surprise when I peeled off the insulation and found it had 6 wires instead of 4. I thought ok I can still do it, then when I stripped the wire it turned out to be so fragile it just broke at a crease.

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • So far so good

Not recommended as the best phone cord

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for grip and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
