Good product in the electrical field

You can tell anyone this is a great 5 star product. I've found a couple of lightbulbs that I think are good, but they don't work as well as I would like when tested with this item. Overall I think this is a great product and I may upgrade to 5 stars later.

Pros
  • Compatible with T2, T4, T5, T8, T9, T10, T12 and fluorescent energy saving bulbs
Cons
  • Repair

Really good, but not great

Great for the price! The cons are that 1- the voltage detector is on all the time so you can shoot static electricity even then. 2- As mentioned in other comments, he has problems with some fluorescent lights. 3- I'm testing neon with it and can't fully extend the extender or it won't light the neon well. (which is usually not a problem). Overall this is great value for the price.

Pros
  • Easy one-button operation in an ultra-compact design for portability
Cons
  • Not for everyone

Came with a leaking battery!

First, the review unit works as it should and looks good quality. Dual function as a fluorescent lamp tester and non-contact voltage tester saves space in your tool box. However, I only give 4 stars because the tester arrived with a leaking battery. Luckily the battery was wrapped in plastic and didn't damage the tester in any way! I would have thought Amprobe could at least pay for $50+ test devices and ship them with a quality battery or even no battery at all! At least without a battery…

Pros
  • Includes: 48" antenna, instruction manual, battery (installed) and carrying case
Cons
  • Not the best

There is nothing left to guess!

I bought the LT-10 to test fluorescent lights in a 16,000 square foot warehouse. ft. 177 T-8s were not burning and were airborne at an altitude of 10 feet. I walked the tester through the camp and found that OVER 150 of them had enough gas left in their hoses BEFORE I had to climb a ladder or aerial work platform. I then checked a few tubes before climbing on the aerial work platform each time so I didn't have to pace like crazy. The voltage meter isn't very useful as I couldn't tell if the…
