This is a great tool and well worth the money. There were some issues with the mechanism at the end, but overall it's an amazing design aid.

For leathercraft, one tip should be a little shorter than the other. It is not. I need to grind a point, round it off and then polish it.

I've only used them a few times to scale images for watercolor and acrylic painting. They look cute and are very easy to customize. Just press and move the stops to anywhere you want. Delivery and packaging were excellent.

Ordered on purpose because it had to be STAINLESS STEEL. No, that is not so. This is galvanized steel. I plan on using it with wet leather and as long as the galvanizing lasts it should be fine, but once it's worn down the steel can turn the leather black, which I specifically wanted to avoid. Seems well done, just distorted.

My husband bought this wing splitter six (6) weeks ago. He's probably used it a dozen times. As he stood at his workbench today, the spring clip that held the tension on the wings broke in two and a piece flew across the room. He didn't work with it, he didn't even keep it. It was on his desk with nothing next to it. It just self-destructed. Don't get carried away by the price. Spend a little more and get something that lasts.
