good for 99 XJ best for gearbox mount

Installed on my 99 XJ with 4.0 I6 and AW4 gearbox. Fits great and is easy to assemble. Looks solid but only time will tell. The factory has done 100,000 miles so I'm not worried because they look the same.

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Volume

Junk, buy another brand

Absolute bullshit. As a result, the exhaust bracket sits too low and rattles on the cross member. Super annoying. I threw it away and put my spare back in until I found a better brand to buy. I 100% recommend everyone to stay away from this as it is a waste of money.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Vulgarity

Terrible product on transmission mounts

Anker Transmission mount sags causing my exhaust pipe to rattle on the cross member. Don't buy this! If you do, you will regret it. I installed it literally two months after buying it and had only driven 100 miles in the jeep and the transmission mount had already sagged. DO NOT DO THAT! BUY OEM or Stinky Fab

DO NOT BUY - Too many drops and backlash for 1992 Jeep Cherokee

Exhaust rattles against crossbar after installing this transmission mount. The drivetrain bounces like a trampoline - not sure what specs Anchor used, but the OEM mount that snapped in half supports the drivetrain better than this mount. After further research, there is enough information on the internet to avoid this mount.

  • Few competitors

Best to buy locally from Transmission Mounts

I ordered this for my 89 Cherokee Limited. He doesn't seem big enough. I get a terrible bang when hitting a speed bump. It looks like my entire transmission from the front driveshaft to the transfer case is going to hit the bottom of the body. In any case, I am planning to replace my exhaust system with a header as it could be an exhaust hanger. I would suggest going to a retailer or buying one locally so you can return the item quicker. Poor replacement for the stock transmission mount.

I do not recommend fitting this part to your car. While the finish and overall appearance and installation were good, it is not a suitable replacement for an OEM transmission mount. You are cutting too much material from the structure, both metal and rubber. Its overall height is similar to the OEM part, although it's maybe 3/8" shorter, more importantly, it compresses a lot more when the weight of the drivetrain is on it. Which almost guarantees your exhaust won't hit the crossbar as it curves

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
