📏 Anchor Hocking Glass Measuring Cup Set - 2 Piece (16 oz and 8 oz) Review

This measuring cup does everything it's supposed to. The price is right too. I'm trying to get away from so much plastic. It doesn't absorb food odors and fits into my large measuring cup for storage.

These things puff up like a dream. Many liquid measuring cups I've had in the past leaked. Not this one. I took off one star for durability because I broke off a small piece from the very bottom in the first month. Still works great but I'm disappointed that daily wear and tear has resulted in such a short period of use.

I had an old glass measuring cup that I've been using for at least 40 years. But I wasn't sure if it's microwaveable. I needed something I could use to heat water in the microwave and then pour it into a coffee mug. Looking around I found that this combo seemed to fit the bill and for the price it was a steal. Now I can heat 1 cup for me or 2 cups for me and my wife. You have to be careful when pouring (like I've seen with most measuring cups) so you don't spill a bit.

I bought these hoping they would be better for pouring liquids than the Pyrex measuring cups I have. These are MUCH WORSE! The spout is so small that you cannot pour any liquid efficiently without it dripping down the sides of the measuring cup. No matter how slow or fast I try to pour, side leakage always occurs. Why make a measuring cup with a terribly inefficient spout? Beyond the measuring aspect, the spout should be a very important factor in a LIQUID measuring cup!
