Quality part that will not leak

I have a Harbor Freight Eartquake air hose reel that I had twisted ends and had to replace. They worked great (β…œxβ…œ) with an Interstate Pneumatics .625 tip. My hose OD is .619-620. I used soapy water to lubricate the barb and put a β…œ cap on the threads of the hose barb to protect it while I tapped the hose barb into the hose. I am very satisfied with this special combination.

Pros
  • Industrial & Scientific
Cons
  • I am writing back

Thread quality is bad

Didn't suit me at all. After tapping and installing with PTFE tape, the air was not sealed. Luckily I had another Power Tank Adapter which I must have forgotten when ordering. I installed it and everything was fine. From other reviews it seems it works for others but definitely not for me. However, I have other stuff from Anderson Metals that is fine.

Pros
  • plug nipple
Cons
  • boring packaging

Another perfect Anderson adjustment.

Over the past year I have ordered and used many different Anderson fittings. This is one of them. Without exception, I consider Anderson fittings to be of the highest quality. Not a single one has ever let me down. All threads have been perfectly tapped and fully conform to the NPT design specification. If they are wrapped in PTFE and tightened properly (not too tight) they will never leak. The serrated shank is longer than some and keeps the hose in place. Again, with proper clamping, there…

Cons
  • Slightly dented
