This is a well-packaged, high-performance hub, designed just like my 13" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. When first connected via the HDMI -Monitor port, the USB port of the printer and then the USB-C cable connected to the charger, the MacBook did not charge BUT BY READING THE INSTRUCTIONS SUPPLIED (duh) the charging cable needs to be plugged in.
