Our rescued Border Collie needed a cute collar to match her personality. When she's not trying to pull off her bow tie, the collar looks very impressive. The collar is well made and will adjust with age. Of course, for walks and other things, we only use a harness, not a leash with a collar.

My dog has a 13" neck. I bought a small one and it fits him. The bow tie has two elastic straps so it stays on the collar without curling up .The buckle is metal but feels a little light.I prefer metal buckles over plastic buckles, although there is a ring for the charms, the fabric has a canvas feel so is durable.

The matching collar and bow is very cute! The bracket is detachable, it can be replaced or simply removed completely. It fits my chihuahua perfectly. My only two concerns are with the clasp/buckle itself. This is a metal that I'm afraid can get too hot when walking outside or taking long potty breaks.
