This should make my DC 35 work better, not worse. It didn't look like the original filter and didn't seem to fit. With this filter installed the vacuum barely turned on, I somehow got it to work after playing with it for a few minutes and then it turned off again. With the original filter turns on every time. I promptly returned this item.

I didn't know my vacuum had a second filter until I came across a YouTube video showing where it is is and how easy it is to change! It's been five years since the original filter and replacing it has taken the vacuum to a whole new level of suction! Big improvement. Both filters were ready for a new exchange.

So these don't fit. Basically, you have to put some effort into getting them in place and then you end up losing suction because the gasket isn't seated properly. But yes. They don't fit, especially my DC35, and since most other models use the exact same chassis frames, they probably won't fit either. This loses suction power. A little. Poorly.

I've had the Dyson for about four years now and have decided to change the filter. These filters are not original and poorly made. They were too big for my Dyson which made it not work. I thought it was the battery so I bought three batteries and sent them back to find out once I put the old filter in the Dyson it worked great. Keep an eye out for aftermarket products, especially at Dyson!

So my husband somehow lost the filter on my Dyson so it didn't work for weeks until I finally broke down to replace it. When I found them I thought why not try them for the money. Boy am I ever impressed! Right out of the box they look exactly like my Dyson filter. Installs easily. Fits perfectly. As far as I can tell they work exactly like my original filter. I read the reviews on this product and decided to give it a try as my DC-44 filter is showing its age. Like other reviewers, I can say that the filters are flat and feel a little thick, making it difficult to initially install and then close the unit. After that, it's easier to uninstall and reinstall. What has disappointed me is that I notice a lot more odors when using Dyson after installing these generic filters than when using an OEM filter. I no longer see dust coming through this filter…
