These blackout curtains are some of the best I've owned. They're very thick, and sturdy. They're lined with a black fabric that helps keeps the heat from penetrating through the curtain. We have older single pane windows in our home and need blackout curtains to have better insulation. The beige color is simple and clean so it works well with our decor. Very happy with these!

These drapes are awesome. They are definitely room darkening (it drives me crazy when drapes are advertised as "room darkening" and then don't darken squat) - these are perfect for sleeping in or watching movies when you want the sun blocked out. The fabric feels very nice and they hang smoothly with a decent amount of sway (they aren't stiff). I'm very happy with them and I think that the price for 2 panels is excellent.

Note the length, I looked at a little higher level (paid attention to the physical and feature details, not the technical. This is a LONG curtain! Totally a positive, I just needed to take a few inches off because of my mistake, but this curtain is the real deal. My daughter has a huge picture window in her bedroom and it has made it very difficult to control the temperature in there. As well the amount of sunlight early in the morning is totally blinding. I was surprised by how totally effective these curtains are. Easy solution and they look nice.

There's nothing coming through these curtains, they block out I would say 99.96% including from the top of the curtain. That .04% is from areas it's not flat against the windowsill or gaps from wrinkles. They are SO heavy, you have to have a nice curtain rod to hold these, but for us here in Texas, curtains like this are essential to maintain cooler temps in the summer. Not sheer at all. Great for darkening a room in the summer. Creates complete darkness in the middle of the day in my bedroom. Very thick. Very effective. They are heavy and high quality. I would have to compare the white shade to White Out. Definitely effective at blocking out light and sunlight.

This curtain material is just the same as the ones I see in a big hotel, it's a full blackout curtain, the back is black and the front is white which is why sunlight cannot penetrate through it. It keeps the warm if the AC is off also, it can keep the room chilled if the AC is on.
